Bypass Oil Filtration Systems & Mounts
Why should you install a Bypass Oil Filtration Systems & Mounts?
AMSOIL Bypass Filtration Systems Reduce Engine Wear
The majority of engine wear is caused by particles ranging in size from 5 to 25 microns. (The term “micron” refers to the abbreviation for “micrometer,” or a millionth of a meter. For comparison, a human hair is approximately 75 microns in diameter). The issue is that the average full flow filter is only effective for particles 20 microns in diameter or larger. This means that all particles smaller than 20 microns can pass through the filter and cause engine wear, unless you have the best bypass oil filter for your vehicle.

How does Bypass Filtration Work?
Bypass motor oil filtration incorporates a secondary oil filter that is designed to remove virtually all contaminants from motor oil. Bypass filters have a high capacity and remove much smaller particles, including soot, than full-flow filters. While bypass filters reduce engine wear and increase oil volume, their high efficiency also means that they have a higher restriction and must be used in conjunction with a full-flow filter.
Bypass filters filter oil in a “partial-flow” manner. They consume approximately 10% of the oil pump’s capacity at any given time and trap extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters are incapable of removing. Bypass filters have a high pressure differential, which causes the oil to flow very slowly through them, allowing smaller contaminants to be removed. Bypass filtration is so named because the oil flows back to the sump via the bypass filter, bypassing the engine. This continuous process eventually purifies all oil analytically, reduces long-term wear, and significantly increases oil drain intervals.

Ford 6.0/6.4L Single-Remote Bypass System provides superior filtration performance in conjunction with the engine’s full-flow oil filter on Ford 6.0/6.4L engines. The engine is connected to this system via the filter housing and oil fill port. Mount, mounting hardware, EaBP90, hose, and hose fittings are all included in the system. NOTE: This system does not include a full-flow filter.
The GM 6.6LSingle-Remote Bypass System improves filtration performance for GM 6.6L engines manufactured from 2001 to 2019. It works in conjunction with the engine’s full-flow oil filter. The engine is connected to this system via a full-flow filter adapter and an oil fill port. Mount, mounting hardware, EaBP90, hose, and hose fittings are all included in the system. Note: This system does not include a full-flow filter.
The Ford 6.7L Single-Remote Bypass System (BMK33) is designed for Ford* Super Duty* 6.7L Diesel Pickups manufactured from 2011 to present. It includes all installation components (parts, hose, Ea Bypass Oil Filter, and installation instructions), enhancing convenience and value.
Cummins 5.0/5.9/6.7L Single-Remote Bypass System provides superior filtration performance in conjunction with the engine’s full-flow oil filter for 2004 to current Cummins 5.0/5.9/6.7L engines. The engine is connected to this system via a full-flow filter adapter and an oil fill port. Mount, mounting hardware, EaBP90, hose, and hose fittings are all included in the system.
Note: Full-flow filter not included with this system. Nissan’s 5.0L Cummins requires the optional BK1104
The AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Bypass System (BMK30) delivers superior filtration performance in on- and off-road heavy-duty applications. It is optimized for use with the Ea Heavy-Duty Bypass Filter (EaBP120), introducing Ea synthetic technology to the heavy-duty market. The system is comprised of the following components: the mount, mounting hardware, hose, hose fittings, and the EaBP120 Bypass filter.
While working in conjunction with the engine’s full-flow oil filter, the Universal Single-Remote Bypass System provides superior filtration performance. The engine is connected to this system via a pressurized oil port. The system is comprised of a mounting bracket, mounting hardware, hose, and hose fittings.
Note: The EaBP bypass oil filter is sold separately. EaBP120 will not work with this system.
By combining the full-flow and bypass filters on a single mount, the Universal Dual Remote Bypass provides superior filtration performance. The system is comprised of a mounting bracket, mounting hardware, hose, and hose fittings.
Note: The spin-on adapter, EaO26 full-flow oil filter, and a Bypass oil filter are each sold separately. EaBP120 will not work with this system. You must purchase the spin-on adapter that matches the filter thread size on your vehicle (see table below)
